NSYS 2018-2019 Season!

Welcome to the 25th Anniversary Season of North Sound Youth Symphony! We are looking forward to seeing everyone return for another year of wonderful music. Rehearsals begin Monday, September 17th at 6:00 p.m. in the WWU Performing Arts Center, Lower Level 2.

All students need to fill out a registration packet. Registration packets can be found here and will also be available at the first rehearsal. The registration packet includes three forms: Registration Form; Emergency Contact and Hold Harmless Form; School Music Program Participation Form.

IMPORTANT: All students need to have an Emergency Care and Hold Harmless Form on file, signed by parents and students in order to be at rehearsal. This form is part of the Registration Packet. Students without this form will not be allowed to stay at rehearsal. Forms can be filled out in advance and brought with the student, or parents can fill out forms in person at rehearsal.

Auditions, Monday, September 10, 2018, 5:30 pm. WWU Lower Level 2. Auditions are by appointment. All new students should schedule an audition. Returning students do not need to audition, except any Philharmonia students wanting to move to Symphony should also schedule an audition. First Rehearsal, Monday, September 17, 2018, 6:00 pm. WWU Lower Level 2.
Philharmonia Rehearsal 6:00 to 8:00
Symphony Rehearsal 6:00 to 8:15.

General Meeting of Board and Members, Monday, September 17, 2018, 6:15 pm. WWU Lower Level 2. All parents/guardians are invited and encouraged to attend.

Pizza Night at rehearsal, Monday, September 24, 2018, 6:00 pm. WWU Lower Level 2. NSYS invites YOU to invite your musician friends to experience the symphony with you; friends can bring their instruments and play.  If your friends enjoy it as much as you do, maybe they will stay for the season!  As an added bonus — PIZZA FOR ALL!  Friends need to bring some forms filled out by their parents. (Tentative) Concert Date, Monday, December 3, 2018, 7:30 pm. WWU Performing Arts Center. We are ironing out the scheduling with the Performing Arts Center and hope to confirm this concert date soon.
