2026 Spring Soloist, Kaylee Blair, Violin
Kaylee was first introduced to the violin in preschool, starting her musical journey at five years old. She studied under a variety of instructors before moving to Washington in middle school. Over the course of her 12 years of violin study, Kaylee has been a member of North Sound Youth Symphony for six years. Throughout that time, she has earned placements in regional Solo & Ensemble competitions for multiple performances and advanced to the state level on several occasions. She also served as a mentor for the White Crow Stringworks mentoring program and currently teaches private violin lessons. Kaylee credits much of her musical growth to the guidance and support of many inspiring musicians and mentors including Kayla Johnson, Morgan Schwab, Tasa Weaver, Coral Marchant, Grant Donnellan, Kirsten Doud, Eva Sauvé, and her current instructor, Lisa Toner.
Outside of music, Kaylee enjoys thrifting, sewing clothes, spending time adventuring with friends, and working multiple jobs during the summer. This fall, she will attend Western Washington University to pursue a degree in biology with aspirations of becoming a dermatologist, while also minoring in performing arts.
