Jennifer Frye

Jennifer Frye has played cello for eight years. She started in the Fifth Grade Strings program at Larrabee Elementary, and continued playing cello at Fairhaven Middle School under Morgan Schwab, and at Sehome High School under Kirsten Doud. Jennifer began private instruction with Michael-Ann Burnett last year. Jennifer was part of the Central Washington University Cello Celebration this year, competed at Solo and Ensemble for the past two years, and attended Marrowstone Music Festival for the past three. This is her seventh year with North Sound Youth Symphony.

Next year, Jennifer hopes to attend Yale University, where she’ll study International Relations. Jennifer will continue to play cello while she pursues her passions in language, economics, and politics. Her other interests include cats and shoes.

Jennifer would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for their support and encouragement. A special thanks to Michael-Ann, for her kindness, passion and knowledge, and for pushing Jen to be more.
